Label Announces Summer 2025 Internship Programs

New York, NY - Return Records, an independent sound recording company based in New York, NY, is thrilled to announce its Summer 2025 Internship Programs. These hybrid, part-time internships offer a unique opportunity for passionate and driven individuals to gain hands-on experience in the music industry. Interns will work 10-20 hours per week from May to August 2025, with the possibility of extension upon satisfactory completion.

Live Production Intern

As a Live Production Intern, you will play a crucial role in expanding Return Records' presence in the music scene. Your responsibilities will include locating and securing suitable venues for label acts, handling scheduling and travel itineraries, maintaining up-to-date records, researching talent, and coordinating logistics with event staff. This role is essential for promoting the house, pop, disco, funk, and soul expressions that define our label's community.

Digital Marketing Intern

As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will support artist marketing and distribution efforts, helping to expand the label's presence in the music scene. Your tasks will include conducting market research, assisting with promotional events, creating promotional materials, managing social media profiles, maintaining press lists, drafting newsletters and press releases, and staying updated on music industry trends. This role is vital for promoting the diverse musical expressions that power our label's community.

Compensation and Qualifications

Both internships are unpaid, and college students are required to show proof of admittance for school credit. Interns must commit to 10-20 hours per week for a minimum of four months. In addition to gaining valuable industry experience, interns will receive complementary tickets to concerts, open mics, workshops, and industry events in the tri-state area (NY/CT/NJ).

Ideal candidates for both roles should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a deep passion for music. Familiarity with office productivity software, social media platforms, and digital streaming services is preferred. Candidates pursuing or having completed degrees in relevant fields and those local to the tri-state area are highly encouraged to apply.
