Return Records Welcomes Diamond Force Time Machine to its’ Rock Roster

Return Records is excited to welcome DC-based band Diamond Force Time Machine to its’ growing roster of rock artists! Combining the musical stylings of blues, rock, soul, and funk with the feelings of spirituality, love, and honesty, progressive indie rock band Diamond Force Time Machine isn't concerned with pop trends--they're concerned with making music they love.

Aiming to push their music in a way that a lot of indie and mainstream rock doesn't these days, DFTM focuses on combining the high level musicianship and instrumental work found in progressive rock with the catchy and meaningful vocals and hooks that keep the listener thinking and wanting more. Their music aims to use improvisation and thought-provoking lyrical content to draw the listener into the next level of musical experience.

Starting in 2015 as a duo of rhythm guitarist and singer Caleb Colin and lead guitarist Steve Strausbaugh, the group has filled out into a trio with addition of bass guitarist Al Rodriguez in 2017. The name of the group originates from a book on Eastern philosophy that implores the individual to turn themselves into a "Diamond Force Time Machine" that transports all beings around them into a higher, more positive place of thinking. The band hopes their music can act as that machine that takes their listeners to a place of positivity, intellect, and joy. Diamond Force Time Machine is currently in the process of recording their first album due out on Return Records this fall!
